Philadelphia has a long history of pro football with the Eagles playing in the NFL for over 90 years. In that time, they have won 3 NFL championships in the pre-Super Bowl era, and after half a century of futility they finally got over the hump so to speak, and have won 2 Super Bowls in recent years, including Super Bowl LIX, making them the current defending champions.

Obviously no NFC East team has even had the opportunity to win a title more recently (+0)

The Eagles’ recent success far overshadows their half century of futility, though every fanbase has a long memory. It’s wild to think that a decade ago, they were the only NFC East team without a Super Bowl win, but then again, the East has 14 Lombardi trophies combined, so even with 2, they’re at the bottom of the Totem Pole, food for thought.
